Halloween 2013

We had two pretty girls for Halloween this year - Cinderella and a lady bug!

On Saturday night, October 26th, we had a ward trunk or treat so we got our costumes on for that!

Dwight, I mean Andrew, does not smile.

We had fun at the trunk or treat even though Eve was too shy to say "trick or treat" :(  Her favorite candy was a gummy eyeball from Brother Haskins.  She insisted on carrying it in her hand all night until I let her eat it.  

Actual Halloween fell on a Thursday this year, which meant Andrew was at class and the girls were at the Davis' house.  I picked them up as soon as I got home from work and we went home to get dressed up!

We bought pumpkins this year (a triumph in itself) but ran out of time to carve them.  So they sit whole on our front porch.  Don't judge!

A few minutes before 7pm, I decided it was time to head out!  Unfortunately, Andrew had the stroller in the trunk of the car with him at school, so I carried Halle while we made our rounds.  That girl gets heavy really fast!  Not many people had lights on, so it was a lot of walking for each piece of candy!  I can't judge that, though, since our lights were also off while I was out with the girls.

Andrew got out of class early and was able to join us for the last little bit, which was awesome!  He also brought the stroller :)  Thank goodness!  We finished strong and headed home to take stock of the loot.

These girls had fun and Eve's first question every morning is, "Can I have a piece of my Halloween candy?"
