We WAY overstayed our welcome in Provo this year, but since Andrew had a 6 week break from school and we wanted to stay for the open house of the new Provo City Center Temple that didn't start until the middle of January, we just stuck around :)
Which gave Andrew plenty of time to play Settlers:
And Abigail plenty of time to get used to everyone!
The girls had tons of fun playing with Maren and Lexi and meal times were always an adventure :)
Grandma Smith bought the girls new fancy dresses that they all got to wear for church!
On Jan 4th when the open house tickets became available, we were a bit distracted. Connie, Lisa, Andrew, and I were all on our computers trying to reserve tickets and three of us were also trying to get through by phone. It paid off and we were to get a block of tickets for the first day, but we paid a price for our inattention to the girls.....Abigail found my makeup and went to town!
I had the chance to go to lunch one day with Marinda and finally meet her little guy! He's adorable! I just regret that I was unable to hold him (I had a cold). So fun to catch up with her!
Another day we met Kayla and Lexi at the Bean Museum and let the girls go crazy there - and believe me, they did. With Connie and Andrew, we had even numbers of adults to children and it still felt like we couldn't keep up!
Playing with the magnetic ant hill:
Abigail loved the baby animals the most - she has a thing for babies!
Grandpa and Grandma's garage is heated enough that the girls were able to get some wiggles out with Maren!
Unfortunately, I had to work almost every day we were in Provo, sometimes very long days, so I missed a lot of what the girls did with Daddy and Grandma - apparently making this puzzle was just one of them -
A bath time first - Abigail climbed back into the tub after I'd already dressed her :( Sneaky girl!
Not a lot, but some outside play time:
We got another chance to see Marinda and Hunter when we went to the mall with them - and the girls both got their first haircuts while we were there! That's worthy of it's own blog, so more to come on that.....
Fun to explore the mall a bit though and super fun to see Marinda one more time!
And of course we visited BYU and saw Grandpa at work! Especially since he keeps candy at his desk, the girls wouldn't miss it!
Grandpa and Grandma were so patient to put up with our craziness for three weeks and I bet they were glad to finally see us go! Too much of us can be a bit overwhelming.....I would know because I live with it every day ;)
