We did a quick trip to Colorado the weekend before Thanksgiving to help Evan and Diana celebrate their wedding! And by quick, I mean quick....
We drove out late on Thursday - and were made even later by the 2 1/2 hour delay in southern Denver due to snow. It literally took us that long to go about 3 miles on the freeway. I was going crazy. But we finally made it safely to the Baldwins house where we were staying that night. And they had brownies and ice cream waiting, so we survived :)
We spent the next morning have fun together!
Eve and Abigail wanted to play in the snow!
Good thing the Baldwins had extra snow gear we could borrow.
The babies being cute inside - where it's warm! Dallin is just two weeks younger than Cora (a possible third match between our clans???)
Halle preferred watching from inside....
Candace gets credit for all the photos that look professional:
Growly bear face!
We'll show this photo at their wedding reception - note to self ;)
After a fun morning, we drove up to Broomfield to continue the adventure:
Play time with cousins!
Since we wouldn't all be together for Thanksgiving, we decided we needed to at least get in pie time while we were all in town. Nine pies later.....(only either are pictured because Kelly hadn't arrived with the last one, yet)
Maddie and Cora with Grandpa! He had a hard time telling them apart....and we'd purposefully try to mix him up sometimes....he got pretty good by the time we left....
We stayed at a rental house near my parents' with Kelly and Lance - that's a lot of little girls in one house!
On Saturday before the wedding festivities began, Grandpa did a science experiment with the kids - something to do with a can, steam, and cold water = implosion!
13 cousins! For now.... ;)
More snow play at Grandpa and Grandma's!
I'll cover the wedding reception in a separate post, but after all the fun we woke up Sunday morning, chilled for a bit, said our goodbyes, then hit the road back home!
See you all soon!
