I was looking forward to having both Halle and Abigail in preschool this year - I love the little class the ladies from our ward did with Halle last year. Halle loves the social aspect and Abigail needs to learn the listening to adults/following the rules part. But they decided not to do preschool this year! Both of the teachers are having babies this fall, so with that, and various other circumstances, the Shadow Hills Preschool is closed for this year. :(
But Hannah Seegmiller, one of the teachers and my good friend in our ward, approached me about doing a little joy school with her. I was hesitant at first because, well, I'd rather pay someone else to do it, than have to teach myself, but I ended up deciding it was better than nothing - so we're doing it!
It has ended up being Halle, Abigail, the Seegmiller's (Jarvis and Emi), and one other mom from the preschool days with her daughter, Lily. So 5 kids, and 3 moms to rotate through. Not a bad deal. We hold it twice a week, Tuesday/Friday from 9:30-11am and we each teach for a week before rotating.
The girls were very excited to start! We were running late, so I only had time for a couple of pictures.....

And at this point, my phone decided it's memory was full, so I literally only got one picture of Abigail - although look how cute she is!
After picking them up, I tried to get some more of Abigail (hence the no shoes).
They've had four weeks of joy school now and are loving it! Fun projects and time with friends! Emi and Abigail are both just 3, so they sometimes have a hard time sitting still and listening....but they're learning!
And I get an hour and 15 minutes to myself twice a week now since Cora naps when they're at joy school! Except when it's my turn to teach.....
