What a Champ!

Last night, Eve slept for three straight hours in her crib. It's a record!

Typically, she doesn't sleep well on her back and will go for maybe an hour or two before waking up (you can imagine how enjoyable that makes our nights). In fact, it's been so bad that we've been sleeping her in her bouncy seat in the bathroom at nights (she likes the sound of the bathroom fan).

In this particular instance, she was having a tough night, so Andrew was keeping her company.

We're hopeful that this crib-sleeping trend continues. I feel like a new person after getting three consecutive hours of sleep - I could get used to this!

In other news, the steady advancement of Eve's receding hairline continues. At this rate, she'll either be bald in no time or have one heck of a mullet to display.

  2. You make me laugh, Sharon! I know you're LOVING all my advice, but seriously read "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracy Hogg. We dealt with that EXACT thing with Sophie for 5 months before I read it, and we had her sleeping through the night, in her crib, within a week! It's seriously worth it! And her hair is adorable! :) Miss you guys!

  3. Congrats on the sleep! My kids are swaddle babies. Gray and Jack would only sleep well if they were swaddled. It kept them from startling awake.

  4. I couldn't help but crack up at this post...only because I can so relate to the sleep thing. That picture of Andrew and Eve in the bathroom is so sweet. What a good daddy! Isn't it amazing what you'll do for your kids?! :) Love the hair line, too. Can't wait for that mullet! :) We loved your Christmas card and I am so totally impressed that you even sent them out this year with JUST having a baby. You are amazing!
