Another year down, another great Mother's Day! I'm so blessed to have Andrew and Eve who take such good care of me!
Eve helped get the house extra clean for the occasion!
On Saturday, Andrew did our errands and watched Eve so that I could get caught up on everything I wanted to (like blogging and the budget). It was great! I even had time to plan a last minute activity for the primary kids to do for their moms. I was in charge of sharing time on Sunday and it completely skipped my mind that maybe we should do something for the moms. But alls well that ends well. We did a cute little candy craft that I just happened to have plenty of tulle for :)
We had a wonderful Sunday - I got beautiful flowers and Eve was extra good getting ready for church. What a sweet girl - I'm so lucky to be her mom!
I like to think that I'm 1.5 times the mother I was last year...and on or around November 12th, I'll be twice the mom! ;)
After church, Eve took a nice long nap and Andrew and I made chicken rolls, potatoes, and broccoli for dinner. Then we played Uno and Andrew let me win - several games in a row!
Not pictured here: broccoli. The broccoli was a bit of a....problem....It took longer than expected to cook because I decided to steam it. So we were hungry enough that we decided to go ahead and get started and let it join us when it was ready. Well, we got started all right and I got so caught up in winning at Uno that I competely forgot about the broccoli! Until all the water boiled out of the pan and it started burning....oops....
WHAT. Why didn't you tell me?? I'm going to be an aunt! Or an uncle!
ReplyDeletelolol HOLD UP!! ok, so my first thought was "Wow, Sharon looks super pretty in these pictures, I need to write that---" then I rush down to comment and I see Kelly's comment :-D and I frantically re-read the entire post just to make sure I'm not being crazy.
