As mentioned, we had the pleasure of having my mom out to stay with us for 2 1/2 weeks! I can't adequately describe how AWESOME it was to have her with us! Not only did she not complain that we had no a/c for her first week here, but she played with Eve non-stop, cooked us delicious food, helped me get some projects done around the house, and even cleaned our house! Not much of a vacation for her, but we loved every minute of it!
One of her first nights here she made us a yummy sour cream cookie cake with oreos. None of us had had it before, but it was definitely a keeper! Eve couldn't keep her hands off it....
On her second Friday with us, I took the day off work and we got some projects done - including painting Eve's letters for her room (I left them white in MI cause her wall was green) and painting the doll chairs I'd picked up at a garage sale. So fun to have someone to do them with!
I can't remember which day this was, but it suddenly started raining really hard, so we (meaning me while my mom watched) let Eve run out and play in it.
This was her first exposure to rain (don't worry - it was very warm rain) and she had a blast! She kept begging to go back out in the rain, even though it had stopped.
After a week and a half with us, my mom was joined by my dad and brother Eric - just in time for the 4th of July and TONS of family fun! More to come on that soon....
