We've had a great first week home with Halle! I can't emphasize enough how AWESOME it's been to have both Andrew and Connie here full time. Makes things so much easier on me!
On Thursday, Great Grandma and Grandpa arrived to see their newest great grandchild.
And they came bearing gifts! Eve looks a little out of it because she'd just come downstairs from a nap.
She perked up after a few minutes and was quite proud to show off her baby sister!
"So tiny!" Eve's most used expression when talking about her sister....
On Friday we took both girls to the doctor - Halle for her check-up and Eve because she'd started acting sick and we wanted to get her checked too. Halle did great, except that her bilirubin was too high and we learned that Eve had a double ear infection (but only a minor one).
After the doctor, we decided to go to Costco since we were already halfway there. Besides stocking our cupboards, we also took the time to peruse the toy aisle. Eve had no complaints! She got to ride a horse!
On Saturday, we tried to spend some time outside since Halle needed some sun for her jaundice...
We had to take Halle in to the hospital on Saturday to get her bili levels tested (since the doctor's office was closed). She was still a little high, but not enough to alarm the doctor, so that was the end of it.
Since then, we've just had a lot of time at home together with lots of snuggles!
Halle's been a great baby! We managed to get both her and Connie sick :( but they've both been great sports about it. Halle hasn't complained a bit, even with her super stuffy nose. She eats and sleeps quite well, except for some issues between 11pm and 2am every night when she doesn't seem to want to sleep. Other than that, she eats about 3 oz every 4 hours and at night (after 2am) she can go up to 6 hours!
We also had a fun surprise on Saturday - Stuart came through town and got to come over for dinner and to meet his new niece! Hopefully he approved :)
I know people always say this, and I've never really believed them, but it really does feel like Halle's always been a part of our family. Such a little sweetheart and we just love her to pieces!
I want to hold her!!! Can I be jealous of Stuart?
