On Monday, July 1st, we headed north to see my friend Katie and my sister Kelly. Big day for us!
It was so good to see Katie and her FOUR kids! Hard to believe a few short years ago, we were roommates, going running after work then making multiple Wendy's runs a night. :) We enjoyed seeing Katie and Danny's new house and meeting their son Luke for the first time. He just turned one and has spent the last six or seven months fighting leukemia - and by fighting, I mean fighting! You can tell he is definitely a strong person, just like his parents!
We didn't get to stay too long, but it was so nice to have at least some time!
After that, we drove over to Kelly and Lance's house for some cousin play time!
I spent as much time as I could snuggling this little beauty! My newest niece, Daryn!
I mean, come on! Look at that face! Ah! So cute and so tiny!
We had the added treat of seeing Grandma Larsen who was there helping out after Daryn's birth. Grandma got the heavier privilege of holding Halle.
Baby swap!
Reagan was such a good little hostess and shared all her toys so nicely with Eve and Halle.
After naps, swim time!
The water was freezing (oops), but Eve and Reagan didn't mind too much...
Care for a try, Halle?
Turns out, she did mind the cold. It's hard to tell from the side, but she's screaming.
Eve and Reagan would get out and run around from time to time - to get the blood flowing again, I think.
And of course, the swings needed some use!
Whale snuggles :)
We had chinese for dinner (yum!) then birthday cake for Andrew!
His present? A turn holding Daryn! Lucky guy :)
We had time for a few more minutes of grandma play before heading home....
We tried for a shot of these three with grandma. Halle tried earnestly to escape....
Eve thought Daryn was so cute!
And finally, a picture of Mommy with her two girls and each of their two girls!
Thanks again for having us, we had a great time!
