Eve's birthday was on a Monday this year so we planned on doing some fun family activities the Saturday before her birthday, but you know how plans change....
Abigail had a seizure that morning so she and Andrew spent most of the day in the hospital. Long story short, the best the doctors can tell, she had a sudden spike in her temperature (thanks to a respiratory infection) that caused the seizure. It was very scary and I can honestly say it's the only time in 4 years of being a mom that I've been scared for one of my children. Her whole body was shaking (not violently, but noticeably) and her arms and legs started turning blue. She could still breathe, but was unresponsive and lethargic. Anyway, Andrew took her to the hospital, which left Eve, Halle, and I with the day to ourselves. So what did we do?
Rake!
We have a lot of yard and only ended up raking half of the front, but we totally enjoyed the time outside in the warm weather!
And we definitely enjoyed the fruits of our labor!
Andrew and Abigail came home while we were jumping in the leaves with Abigail none the worse for the wear. Such a blessing!
And Eve's hair had a few souvenirs of our day....
