Happy Easter!

We love celebrating Easter every year and remembering the joy we have because of the Resurrection of the Savior!  So of course we celebrate by having lots of fun!  Including THREE egg hunts this year!

The first was with our playgroup from church:

It was chaos, but lots of fun!

That was on Wednesday; on Saturday morning, we headed over to our friends the Seegmillers for another egg hunt and a brunch!  Again, pure chaos, but fun!

We had a really neat experience with Eve at this hunt.  They had three huge prize eggs hidden and Eve found the last one, but another girl there started throwing a fit and claiming that she should have it cause she saw it first.  Although that wasn't true, she was really upset about it and I looked at Eve and asked her what she thought we should do.  There was no way I was going to ask Eve to give up her egg to this girl.  But this is Eve, and I didn't have to ask.  Eve handed the other girl the egg and told her she could have it and I almost started crying right there I was so proud of her!  Eve wasn't resentful or bitter about the choice, and was happy and cheerful the rest of the hunt.  I was so proud of her choice to sacrifice what she wanted to help someone else feel better.  She's such a sweet girl!

That afternoon, we colored some eggs!

Abigail kept cracking hers on the table (I guess I let her help me crack eggs too often???):

They were so proud of their finished products!  Unfortunately, we kind of forgot about them in the fridge and never got to eat them :(

That afternoon, we did our own egg hunt at our house, just to humor me.  I love having an indoor egg hunt with our girls when things are a little calmer and I can hide the eggs somewhat creatively :)

Of course, three egg hunts does mean WAY too much candy, but there are worse problems to have.....

That night, we set out our baskets for the Easter bunny!

And sure enough, the next morning, they were hidden!  Abigail found hers behind the couch:

Eve found Dad and Mom's in the dryer:

Halle's under the kitchen sink:

And finally Eve found hers in the bathtub:

Such happy girls!

All ready for church - have I mentioned how impossible it is to get them all to smile at the camera at the same time? (Not for lack of trying on my part, trust me.....)

Halle's prison face:

We are so thankful to celebrate this special holiday together as a family and to remember our Savior's sacrifice for each of us!  We love each other and we love Him!  Happy Easter!
