Happy Halloween

Mostly to help maintain my sanity, our Halloween costumes this year were simple and matching - homemade skeletons!  Which means the girls got to help make their own, which was fun!

We started on celebrations on the Saturday before Halloween at the ward trunk or treat! Andrew passed out our candy and I walked the girls around. Cora really got into it this year and did a great job with "Trick or Treat!" followed by "Thank you!"

From there, we headed over to our friends the Grieners house for their annual Harry Potter themed Halloween party.  It was amazing!  They went all out and the girls are still playing with the magic wands they got at the party.  Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures...

On Monday night was a Monster Mash party at Eve's school.  I took all 5 kids by myself and didn't lose a single one!

Eve showed us where her pumpkin was on display in the hallway, right by the front office!

Time to party!

We did the cake walk first :)

Then the train ride outside.

Right as they got started, Cora freaked out and had to be brought to me.  So she watched with Seth and I from the side.

We got home from that activity super late, with some very tired and grumpy kids (mostly Cora....)

On Halloween morning while Eve and Halle were at school, I took the others to a little Halloween carnival at the Science Spectrum.  It was awesome!  Lots of little kid friendly activities and treats.

Then that evening, we got dressed back up!

It was super cold and I didn't relish the idea of walking around outside with all the kids, so instead we went trick or treating at the mall this year.  The girls got lots of candy and it was warm!  After the first 30 minutes or so, it got really crowded so we didn't stay too long.

The girls were excited to be home in time to answer the door for a few trick or treaters while I fed Seth.  Then we turned the lights off at 8pm and called it a night!

"Look, Mom! I have a beard!"  (Also known as a baby wipe....)

We sure missed Daddy for Halloween this year!  But duty calls in Amarillo....
