Yesterday, I turned 29! It was a great, quiet birthday - exactly what I wanted and needed!
But before I could have a birthday, there was.....a Birthday Eve!
Since my birthday was on a Wednesday, I had to go to work (boo!) but the evening was nice! We got Papa John's pizza for dinner (oh, sweet bbq chicken!). Eve was VERY interested in helping me "share" my dinner with her!
After we ate some pizza and watched some Perry Mason (I love that show!), I got to snuggle Eve while she had her bedtime bottle - gotta love snuggle time!
Eve fell asleep before presents which was fair...it was late - like 7:20! :)
I got to open a package from my friend Natasha, one from my mom, and one from Andrew's mom -thanks to all for the great presents! Andrew wrote me a nice birthday letter which was the nicest present of all! We haven't had time to do any birthday shopping yet, but will hopefully go this weekend to look for some frames for the family pictures we just got. We didn't get any digital images, but if I can get my scanner working, you'll see them on the blog at some point....
There was a disappointment with my birthday - brought on by myself. I decided that I wanted cheesecake for my dessert, so I made one on Tuesday night. It did not go well. Which is really too bad because the last one I made was great! The side of this one fell off in the oven, then the top got all cracked and sunk a little bit as it cooled. This is what we ended up with:
I was sad.
Don't despair, though. We were lucky because it still tasted just fine! So I dug in!
All in all, another great birthday! The years are really starting to fly now - bring on 30!
I think this may be my favorite post yet! That first picture of Eve sleeping makes me baby hungry, it's so cute! And then there are just picture of you...eating...which is what I remember doing with you! :) Happy Birthday, One! :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so good at sharing- how sweet of her! Also, have I mentioned lately how jealous I am of your ability to use your daughter's name cleverly in every post about a holiday? I am very jealous. I knew I should have given Reagan a more variable name.
