Happy 2nd Birthday to Halle!

What do you do when a sweet little girl turns 2?  You celebrate!!

Halle's birthday was on a Wednesday this year and I snuck out of work a little early to pick her up and take her to Build-a-Bear!

It took a long time to decide, but she finally settled on the hugs and kisses bear.  She didn't want to help push the button to fill the stuffing, but was very excited to brush and blow dry her bear afterwards :)

Halle is a huge fan of Elmo right now, so we got her an Elmo birthday cake!  She went with me to pick it up after Build-a-Bear and was super excited to give Elmo kisses on the way to checkout....

She loved her little bear for all of...a few hours...and now Eve has officially adopted it as her own.  And Halle's too nice and obliging to resist....oh dear...

We had macaroni and cheese for dinner, which typically Halle loves and will eat a ton of, but she barely touched it.  Epic fail, Mommy!  Should have gone with tomato soup and rice.  Maybe she was saving room for cake???

We had a small family party after dinner and Halle had a great time opening her cards and presents!

Unfortunately, Eve also wanted to be heavily involved in the present opening and threw a few fits upon learning it wasn't HER birthday. 

She finally settled for just helping and again, Halle was very obliging...

Time for cake!

Here are a couple of Halle's stats:

-90th percentile in height and head size and 75th in weight

-Saying more and more words; some of her favorites: "Daddy awake", "Mommy work", "Daddy boy", "Up, please", "Jesus died", and "Baby asleep"

-Showing signs of being boy crazy already...

-Has the best glare ever!  (See the Halloween post for a glaring Sleeping Beauty)

-Loves giving hugs and kisses and talking on the phone

-Some of her favorite toys: Mr. Potato Head, the baby doll stroller, Eve's dolls, and princess figures

-She loves books, but almost prefers looking at them by herself vs. being read to

We're so proud of our big 2 year old and love her so much!
