Halloween Celebrations

Halloween drug on over several days this year, which was good cause it let the girls wear their costumes more than once!  Since I don't know what we'll do with them after this....

First up was "Tech or Treat" at Daddy's school!  Andrew was able to join us for most of it (unfortunately not enough of it to keep me from losing Abigail at the end - don't worry, someone caught her trying to exit the building and found me - I was near panic....).

Lots of games and tons of candy!

In Halle's busy bodies class on Friday, they did a relay race that included putting on and costume and running down to the blue circle.  Halle was an artist!  And she was the only one on her team to successfully get the clothes on....

They also dressed like mummies and did freeze dancing!

That night was the chili cook-off / trunk or treat at church.  Apparently people like our white chicken chili cause it won for the third year in a row.

And I forgot to take any pictures until we were de-costumed and loading up to go home at the end.  But this is the proof that we were there!

Then on Saturday, Andrew called me from school to say the law school was doing a Halloween carnival/fair thing RIGHT THEN.  So we threw our costumes on, skipped naps, and went for more candy.  Including cotton candy!

Sticky face!

Lots of fun games for the girls and fun for Andrew to show them off to his fellow students.....kind of....except when they got fussy.  Too much sugar!

Painting their masterpieces.  And they refused to leave until they were complete.  Which took a long time.

Before we left, Andrew took us to the law library to see his little nook!  This is his home away from home!

On Halloween, Eve's school did not allow costumes, but did ask the kids to dress up as a character from their favorite book.  Um....how many costumes do you think I'm going to put together per year???  This is my 20 minute version of Sister Bear from Berenstain Bears.  Don't judge.  She also had to do a little book report on the book.

That afternoon we finally got around to carving our two pumpkins.  Eve picked the little one during her field trip to the pumpkin patch/corn maze the previous Friday.  Yes, she picked one that had a slash in it and was already rotting on the inside.  :(

Finally the big night!  I'm not sure what's going on with Halle's bow.  Her hair looked really cute up, but the gigantic bow is hiding it :(

I think the other costumes are self-explanatory, but in case you can't tell, Cora was a black cat :)

This is literally the best picture I could get of all of them.  That's a lot of tulle to fit on one couch.

We just went up and down our street, which still took probably an hour.  Andrew took Cora home after the first few minutes cause she was fussy, and by the end, so were the other girls!  But they had fun and are still enjoying their candy (carefully rationed by mom and dad).
