Our Valentine's Day didn't turn out quite like expected, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. I made little signs to tape on the girls' doors - nothing says "Happy Valentine's Day" like silly faces!
Halle made this cute card at preschool - love that girl!
I attempted, in vain, to get a picture of the girls in their pink/red outfits. This one is literally the best out of the lot. And perfectly in character for each child. Eve - smiling obediently at the camera, Halle sulking (she does that in almost every picture these days....), Abigail not holding still, and Cora looking at something else. Sigh. Good thing we love them so much!
Cora thinks the flowers Daddy brought home are yummy!
I honestly can't remember what we did for the rest of the day, but when the girls went to bed that night, they found a little surprise in their beds!
I gave Eve milk duds, which apparently she doesn't like, so she burst into tears. Only after Halle agreed to trade for her Whoppers did Eve regain her composure and ask for a picture. And yes, her bad for several months has been on our floor. Cora wasn't sleeping through the night so Eve couldn't share with her and Halle and Abigail in the other room would make too much noise and keep Eve up. So she was quite happy to bunk with us for as long as we let her.
Andrew surprised me with chocolates and flowers! Normally, I'm not a huge fan of boxes of chocolates (because you always get nasty surprise flavors - does anyone actually like those orange toothpastey ones?), but these godiva ones were delicious!
Not pictured, we made a card for Andrew and put it on his bed with treats, too. Something for everyone on this day to do nice things for those we love!
