Here are the highlights of Abigail's 3rd birthday at Disneyland!
Starting off the day with a sprinkles donut!
And an apple? I let her choose. It was on this trip that she learned that she could eat apples without me slicing them first.
She wore her Anna and Olaf shirt to meet....them! Of course she was shy about talking to them, but as long as Dad held her, she did ok.
Telling Anna how old she is!
The princesses were so patient with this reserved birthday girl! And Abigail loved the attention!
Playing at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail!
Meeting Tinker Bell - from the back!
Riding Jungle Cruise with Daryn!
During our afternoon break, we did a mini party for Abigail at the pool. She wasn't a fan of the float at first, but has come to love it this summer! Gives her such freedom in swimming!
That evening, we got the girls grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. And when we got to the table with the food, Abigail threw a fit because she "wanted a salad." We got her to calm down and ask nicely, then (only because it was her birthday!) I went back and bought her a $9 salad. Which she didn't get. Only a few bites. Sigh.
Opening more presents!
And birthday cookies!
After the failed fireworks show, we carried Abigail back to the hotel - and she crashed. A tired birthday girl. Too much fun!
Here are some things about Abigail at age 3:

-Favorite shows: Sophia and Kate and Mim Mim
-Likes to: play games with Dada, go to the park, swim with her new floatie and jump off of things, read books with Mama
-Prefers being naked; almost never wears clothes
Favorite toys: little Cinderella and Tiana princesses and Halle's Minimus stuffed animal
-LOVES her little pink blankie
-Is a champ at throwing tantrums - she literally can't calm down
-Loves music in all forms; favorites: all Church music; "Gives Say the Little Lamb"; Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; a Hilary Weeks song called "That's Who I Am"
-Loves to be snuggled
I know I'm writing this three months after the fact, but I'll include here that since last November (when I first noticed that Abigail couldn't hear me when I whispered in her right ear), we've been going through a series of hearing tests with Abigail. In late July, she was diagnosed with auditory neuropathy. Her ear drum works properly, but sound is not fully transmitted to the auditory nerve and brain. So basically, she has severe hearing loss in her right ear. The audiologist we've been working with would like her to try a hearing aid to see if it helps. More to come on that!
We love this sweet, silly, rambunctious three year old! She keeps us on our toes and is a joy to have in our family!
