Larsen Family Reunion - Part 1

On Tuesday after the 4th of July, the Larsen Family Reunion began! We met at Soldier's Hollow near Heber, Utah from Tuesday - Friday. Many people chose to camp....we did not :) We stayed in Provo with Andrew's parents and just drove up during the day.

We brought some sidewalk chalk and Darci made good use of it!

It was a beautiful place to gather! A few too many bugs for my taste, but that's to be expected!

On our way back to Provo on Tuesday night, we decided to make a quick stop for shakes and fries! Darci and Eve had a fun time together!

Or at least Eve had a good time :) Sometimes she's a little too "hands on" for other kids!

We were ready for another day of reunioning on Wednesday! Here's the pavillion where most of our activities took place - and a lot of good eating!

It got a little hot for Eve, so we de-pants her! Grandpa still consented to hold her. Which was very brave. She did manage to poo all over Grandma while we were there! Sorry again about that Mom!

What are family reunions for if not to eat lots of good food and spend lots of time talking!?

And to play with your grandchildren, of course!

That afternoon, we threw a combined baby shower for Kelly and Natalie, my cousin Jeff's wife. Kelly had a girl and Natalie was expecting a boy, so we could to use blue and pink! Silly me - I was so busy trying to get it all together, that I didn't take a SINGLE picture! I took this one later after everything was taken down except the tableclothes. Sigh...

It was a lot of fun, though! We played fun games, visited, had yummy food - and opened presents! I missed seeing the presents because I was tallying scores from a game, but from what I hear, they got some great stuff!

The menfolk stayed busy during the shower by hosting a treasure hunt for the kids. And of course by playing volleyball! That's my athletic husband in front of the orange tent! He was loving the sports playing!

Ignore how nasty, sweaty, dirty I am (it was a HOT day and I'd been running around doing stuff for the baby shower) and focus on the two cute cousins with Grandma! We missed you Chiara!

And of course Genevieve and Stuart too!

After such a busy couple of days, the girls were just tuckered out....

Eve isn't brave enough to sleep on the ground yet like her cousin...

Oh, and that picture is especially noteworthy because Eve slept through the night TWICE while we were in Utah!! She'd only ever done that once before! Yay! That's what happens when you play so hard during the day....
