I'm so glad our girls aren't old enough to wake up super early on Christmas morning. Now, granted, they were both still up by 6:30, but that's normal. And way better than 4 or 5am!
They were very excited to discover that Santa had indeed come and left full stockings for everyone!
And a full room of presents! (Keep in mind this is for 21 people....)
Everyone enjoyed opening their stockings as the morning progressed - no presents until everyone is here!
Eve got a bottle and sippy cup in her stocking which she promptly put to good use :)
We just felt so blessed to be able to share this day with so much family!
After stockings, it was time for the traditional Larsen family Christmas breakfast - scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls. Not quite the same as stocking candy, but still very tasty! ;)
Maybe Uncle Eric didn't think so...
Two happy girls!
Three happy girls! (I guess technically four, but we didn't know at this point we were having another girl....)
Finally it was time to open some presents! We talked a lot with Eve this year about how we give presents at Christmas to remember that the wise men gave Jesus presents and that He gives us gifts. She even chose her own gift for the Savior - "making a good choice" which she certainly did a lot of that day and every day! We're so pleased with how much and quickly she's learning!
And Halle too! Even though she's younger (or maybe because she's younger...), she follows in Eve's footsteps every time :)
Eve was really obsessed with the two babies while we were there - Daryn and Navy hardly had a spare minute to themselves with her around! She's a great big sister (to all!) :)
She also had fun playing with her older cousins, and only a few fights broke out over toys - less than I expected, to be honest.
Halle got a new 'laptop' that she fell in love with and can occupy herself for quite some time with. Unfortunately, Eve loves it too and we're still working on the idea that not all toys in our house are hers.
For the adults (at least the pregnant ones), presents are all well and good, but it's really the FOOD we come for! Luckily, grandpa had it covered!
Time for a little exercise in the new doll stroller (thank you, Santa!) before dinner.
Needless to say, I licked my plate clean! And then some!
Save room for pie(s)!
Again, we felt so blessed to have this time with family - especially with everyone living so far apart, moments like these are rare. A big thanks to grandpa, grandma, Uncle Evan, and Uncle Eric for putting us all up! And in such style!
