Abigail Turns 4!

Abigail's 4th birthday fell on a Saturday this year and we spent the whole day celebrating this cutie!

She wouldn't put the roly poly down for her birthday pictures.....

This girl has personality and spunk coming out her ears!

For her family activity, Abigail chose the trampoline park.  We'd never been there, so were excited to give it a try!  When we showed up, Abigail lost her nerve, though, and insisted she just wanted to stay with me.  (At 5 months pregnant, I definitely wasn't jumping.)  There were lots of tears, so she stayed with me as Andrew and the others headed out for some fun!  

That lasted about 30 seconds before Abigail realized she'd been wrong and wanted to join in!

We had an hour and a half of play time and boy did they play!  The only downside was Eve, who'd been having pain in her ankles for a few weeks and kept twisting them while jumping.  So lots of tears on her end :(  

She wouldn't sit out the fun, though!

That afternoon, Abigail had to find her hiding presents based on clues that her sisters happily helped her read.  

They were all over the house!

She also had plenty of willing hands for the unwrapping part....

Her last, and largest present - 

A dino water table!  (This thing has seen a lot of use in the past month - although the combo of half water and half sand has made for lots of messes....)

Abigail loved her matching swim suit and flip flops and still tells random people about them!

And a watermelon beach towel :)

That must mean it's time for some pool play!

We finished off the day by watching Kung Fu Panda (Abigail's choice, not mine) while Abigail chowed down on some watermelon!  Watermelon and chocolate chip pancakes were her dinner of choice.

When it was time for cake, I told Abigail I'd accidentally dropped her cake in the dirt and it got bugs all over it.  She was a little confused at first, until we explained....

She wanted to put on her own candles :)

What a big 4 year old!  Love her to pieces!

Ice cream cake is yummy!  Abigail had originally asked for an ice cream cake (I don't think she even knew what it was!) but then a few days before her birthday, switched to saying she wanted a "honey cake".  Not knowing what that was, I stuck with her original request.

1. What is your favorite color?  Purple

2.  What is your favorite toy?  My video game to try to get the hoops in (a little plastic cell phone that you try to ring the hoops with).

5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?  Ramen Noodle!

6. What is your favorite outfit?  My pocket shirt

7. What is your favorite game?  This one (pointing to the plastic cell phone) – this is a game.

8. What is your favorite snack?  Ramen Noodle

9. What is your favorite animal?  Camel and elephant

10. What is your favorite song?  Bye Baby Bunting and Hush-a-bye

11. What is your favorite book?  Be Gentle with the Dog, Dear (one we got from the library a few weeks ago).

12. Who is your favorite friend to play with?  Cora

13. What is your favorite sport?  The one that we watched on the TV when our show was just starting (soccer).

14. What is your favorite thing to do outside?  Play!

15. What is your favorite drink?  Koolaid

16. What is your favorite holiday?  Christmas!

17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night?  Little blankie

18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?  Ramen Noodle

19. What do you want to be when you grow up?  Adorbat (Acrobat)

20. What is your favorite thing to do with Mom or Dad?  Be holded with little blankie

22. What is something Dad always says?  “Don’t touch the ant hills.”

26. What is your favorite time of day?  Christmas

27. What makes you feel sad?  Because Dad has to go to school.

 28. What makes you feel happy?  Because Dad doesn’t have school today (it’s Saturday)

29. Where do you want to go on vacation?  To the lazy river swimming pool at Texas Tech.

30. What is most exciting about being 4?  Uh, I don’t know.  Because I have a birthday and I turned 4 and I get birthday cake.
