Here's our random stuff from May!
Halle poured her own breakfast cereal.....(And by the way - is it just me who can see her eyes not straight?! More to come on that in June.)
Chocolate face!
Halle and I got to go to North Ridge and register her for kindergarten! We're not sure where we'll be come fall, but for now, she's registered here.
The Zoo Crew had some animals out for the kids to play with! This is Maggie, the guinea pig who stayed at our house over spring break while she was pregnant. Now she has her two babies!
Halle is beyond ready for school. That's what happens with fall birthdays! She's already reading short chapter books and is getting better and better and math and writing. And she's our little social butterfly, so kindergarten will be a blast!
Eve and I made a trip to the dentist for her silver crowns on two baby teeth with cavities. The procedure was done under conscious sedation, but Eve was really sleepy by the time the dentist began.
She did awesome! Not a wiggle or fuss - the dentist said she was a perfect patient :) (Besides her teeth having cavities....)
Cora started requesting to sleep in Abigail's "big girl bed" so for naps, that's what she does now and she loves it! Hopefully it will be a smooth transition to nighttime sleeping in a big bed too? Soon....
After receiving permission to lay down in our room one night, this is how we found Abigail when we headed to bed.
Eve brought this treasure home from school - a note she'd written to her teacher describing a recent Monday they'd had off of school. It's going to be a long summer....
Look at this little guy! So excited for his arrival in September!
Getting some help with yard work:
One Thursday night while Eve and Andrew were at soccer practice, I took the other girls to Halle's friend's birthday party. The girls love Blazing Bouncers! (And I had permission to bring a couple of extra kids, don't worry.)
Hardly time for food with all the playing!
We had Cora sleeping in our room while our graduation guests were in town (I'm very proud that we fit 5 extra adults in our tiny house.). The first night, I didn't reinforce the body pillow that was supposed to keep her on her mattress. That does not look comfortable!
We had three straight days of short hail storms in May and the girls went wild collecting hail to save in the freezer. (We just finally threw it away this week....)
Some pretty good size pieces!
Checking the backyard....
Cora and Daddy time!
Eve had Buddy Day at school Friday, May 18th. Basically lots of activities for the kids! I stopped by the school just to say hi and snap a picture!
Eve's buddy for the day was Glorian :)
More hail!
Eve's last soccer game was on Saturday, May 19th.
Eve getting her trophy (blocked by Halle):
Super proud of these two, despite another hard season.
1st Grade Awards Ceremony! Eve received the A Honor Roll, Recycling, and Outstanding Character awards.
Ms Cole was a great teacher and Eve is going to miss her!
We're proud of our awesome 1st grader!
This is what Monday night walks for our FHE activity look like:
And huge news for May - Abigail graduated from physical therapy! She is now age equivalent, with the understanding that strength in some areas is compensating for her continuing lack of balance. She may always be slightly off balance, thanks to the location of the tumor, but she really has come a long way in the past 5 months. Miss Laura was awesome working with her and Abigail will miss her.
More yard work!
All pooped out - Abigail sneaks into our bed sometimes and Andrew's more patient with it than I am....
Last day of 1st grade for Eve!
She and Naomi wanted to match for the day so they coordinated it themselves :) Love these two!
