We had a visit from the Baldwins to kick off our summer! They arrived on Memorial Day and stayed until Friday morning, June 1st.
On Tuesday, we played around the house until Eve got home (thank goodness it was early release!) then headed to prairie dog town to see the babies!
8 kids in one picture is no easy feat!
We made a Costco trip after that and discovered that they've done away with their swirl frozen yogurt - just vanilla now :( Good thing the kids were still happy!
We got lots of comments about so many kids!
We rounded out the afternoon with some pool time!
And that night I got things together enough to serve our Memorial Day dinner (I was too worn out on Monday.) Hot dogs for the kids and sloppy joes for the grown ups!
Wednesday was mostly a play around the house day....and show-watching day:
With plenty of time for games - Stratego for Eve and Nathan and Guess Who for Hannah and Levi/Halle.
Thursday was Eve's last day of school! While she was gone, the rest of us visited the petting zoo at the library. It was a mad house, but the kids still enjoyed seeing, touching, and feeding so many animals!
And Cora was not accosted by any sheep this time, so that was a bonus.
I promise we were there with the Baldwins, I just didn't get them in many pictures it seems? It was all I could do to keep track of my 3!
Keep off the ground! (A dangerous game with so many little people....)
Eve taught Nathan how to play war:
I think the one thing the Baldwin kids really wanted to do was go to Legacy Play Village, but with the heat and other plans, we just never made it there. Until Friday morning! We made a quick visit before they left for home and we headed to a babysitters/eye doctor appointment for Halle.
It was a quick park visit, but the weather was lovely!
After some play, the Baldwins hit the road. Can't wait to see them in Colorado in July!
