As always, we had fun at Ranch Day this year! And I planned to take the girls by myself since Andrew was busy with school, but he surprised us and met us there! And it was a good thing; I had overestimated by abilities for sure :)
Saturday, April 28th was the lucky day and we were ready for some fun!
Upon arrival, we went straight to horseback riding and found no line!
Go, Halle!
As the girls got their helmets and began their turns, Cora became increasingly upset that we weren't giving her a helmet. So we decided to let her try, figuring there was no way she'd go with complete strangers and get on the horse.
Eve and Halle making the rounds while Abigail and Cora waited:
Turns out, we were wrong about Cora. She loved it!
Abigail's turn!
And there goes Cora! Have you ever seen anything so adorable?!
After horses, the girls got to take turns feeding cows.
And sheep-gazing!
We love beef! (Well, actually, they don't really, but hey....)
Making leather bracelets:
After completing 6 activities, the girls turned in their sheets for their paycheck!
"Let's go spend some money!"
After they each picked a prize at the little 'store', we headed for the exit, with a couple of stops along the way.
Abigail didn't want her picture with the horns :(.
But the girls did want a quick turn at the rodeo!
Including lasso-ing!
And digging for fossils (actually plastic Easter eggs with mini prizes inside)!
We were hot and tired by the time we finished and more than ready to head home! Another successful Ranch Day! Or so we thought.....
This fun surprise on the way home:
Cora threw up everywhere. Repeatedly. It took me over an hour to clean it all up when we got home. Poor girl!
