So our life in Lubbock consists of Andrew being gone at school all day every day, usually including Saturdays, and me home with the girls. Also, I haven't started yet, but I'll be working part time from home at my AT&T job. So, busy life! It's been especially crazy for me because I've never been a full time mom at home before - and certainly never to three very energetic little girls! To say that I am not adjusting well would be an understatement!
But life goes on - and we bought bunk beds! Turns out they weren't the best purchase we've ever made, but with a lot of work, Andrew was able to fix them up really well!
I now get to clean up this face three times a day! Good thing she's cute :)
And try as we might (and seriously, I made Andrew try for like an hour), we could not figure out a way to get this thing in our new house. So it now resides in the backyard and doesn't get much use thanks to the heat. I really, really, really miss having it indoors! And I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Andrew hard at work on the upper bunk! We were planning on staining them once he sanded them down, but I ended up loving the natural look so much, we just left them for now.
And the girls finally have bunk beds!
Proud resident of the top bunk - although since then, she's only slept on it a handful of times - she usually prefers the floor :(.
And as mentioned, Abigail LOVES climbing up the ladder to the top bunk. She does really well and has never fallen, but I'm more worried about her trying to get back down. So the ladder comes down during the day :)
Random note - these girls love corn on the cob! So we had it one day with lunch! Remember how I have to feed them lunch every day now? I don't know how Andrew managed! Seems like I move straight from making, serving, and cleaning up one meal to the next. All day long!
Our other fun activity since being home with mommy was making play dough! I helped Halle make a snowman with hers and she liked him so much she's giving him a kiss!
Like the post title says, we're kind of settling in. Or at least we'd started to when....we got our first visitors!
