Swim Lessons

The girls did swim lessons for the first time this summer - and all things considered (mainly, how little time they've spent in water), they did great!

Eve was in the Level 1 class and was very brave, despite that fact that she DID NOT want to put her face in the water.

Halle and Abigail were together in the Aqua Tots class.  And Abigail absolutely refused to get in the pool for the first class.  Halle did great!

When Eve's class finished, she tried to convince Abigail to do her class, but was unsuccessful.

By the 2nd class, Abigail was ready to give it a go!

Cora and I enjoyed watching the girls swim!

Abigail loved her goggles - out of the pool.  She never wanted to take them in with her.

One of the days, Halle and Abigail's class got to do a boat ride!

Cora passed the time each class by rifling through my purse.

We were so proud of all the girls' progress during their lessons; they all kept trying and participating, in spite of their shared extreme fear of getting their faces wet.

During their last class, Halle and Abigail got to climb the rock wall, then let go and "jump" into the pool.  In their cases, it was more like being gently lowered in by their teacher.

Overall, I think these girls had fun.  They each got a free family pass to the Texas Tech Leisure Pool after completeing their classes, so we went three times during August and they really blossomed!  Swim lessons apparently emboldened them!
