Here's all the other random stuff we did during April:
We got a coupon for Red Robin in the mail, so decided to use in one Wednesday for half-priced kid's meals!
It ended up being a total flop. We told our waiter upfront we were there to use the coupon then at the end when our bill came, they charged us full price and said they weren't accepting that coupon anymore :(
Don't worry, we got our revenge. Cora chugged two full cups of chocolate milk, then threw it up everywhere. Oops.
Enjoy it now, cause we'll never be back! The food wasn't as good as I remember - I think they changed their buns? Disappointment all around! At least for mom and dad...
The kids still had fun :) That's a big chip!
Here she goes on the second glass (plus, she didn't eat anything....):
Abigail's monthly bout of nausea.....
Cora's first ponytail! It lasted about 30 seconds and hasn't been repeated :)
Seth doing his leg exercises!
I watched Texas Tech basketball play in the national championship - I'm not even that in to basketball, but it was a nail biter and sad when they lost in overtime :(.
We walked to pick up Eve and Halle from school almost every day (awesome weather!) and Cora loved splashing in any water she could find!
And collecting sticks, of course!
The balance bike came with us every time, although Abigail would get tired of riding it about halfway there and the stroller would carry it the rest of the way. Then Eve and Halle would take turns riding it home.
Sticks and water!
Seth discovered how delicious the mail is:
I kept trying to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, without success.
Our friends from the ward, the Flakes, came over to play a couple times because their mom had her tonsils out and needed to rest! They were literally the best kids I have ever babysat - so easy!
Disney music on pandora is very soothing....
The girls love this mirror elevator at the pediatrician's office! I guess the elevator is cool, but I'm not such a huge fan of the office in general. Two thumbs way down!
Seth tried cucumber spears and it was love at first taste! His first sitting he "ate" three!
April was apparently the month for school activities because Sleepy Hollow also had a Sock Hop night that Andrew took Eve and Halle to. They didn't stay long :)
Roaming the halls:
Headed out already?
Eve's become increasingly interested in helping me cook and she's getting pretty good! This was a crescent roll breakfast casserole we tried. I'd say the results were mixed (name that movie).
Cora went through a 'sleeping in the hallway' phase - we'd find her like this almost every night.
Beds really were a poor investment.
Halle went to the eye doctor and got a new pair of glasses - blue! They look amazing!
And the eye doctor gave her Baskin Robbins coupons to share with her sisters! Abigail picked rainbow sherbet and both Andrew and I tried to talk her out of it, but she would not be swayed. One bite later, she was regretting not listening to us. Mercy won in this case and we got her a new flavor. Maybe next time she'll pay more attention to what we tell her? Probably not....
Lots and lots of rain and hail in April, which revealed that our sun room leaks during heavy storms. Cora's a fan! We wish they had built it better....
Abigail's not the only one who loves her little blankie!
And a fun surprise from Seth for Mommy:
I told you she's getting good!
A couple of pictures of the backyard shrines before Andrew and the girls started to dismantle them. Weird stuff out there.
Our friends the Howe's invited us over for dinner, which was delicious and fun! Their daughter Sophie is Halle's age and her new Amarillo best friend. Davy is Cora's age, but is good friends with Abigail :).
We had a series of Wednesday ward play groups at the church gym, which was perfect to use our red car! (I think I've posted about this before...) But time, Cora took her first turn driving! She's never expressed an interest before, but wanted to try this time and had a blast! This is the only use this car ever sees....
Some cute pictures of Seth, just because....
I subbed in nursery a few times and Seth got to join at least once. He'll be in there before we know it!
Abigail's first braid! She fell in love with them and since her hair was FINALLY long enough, wore them quite often in April and May. Super cute!
Sam's Club shopping with Seth not in his car seat for the first time - look how big he is!
He did a great job helping me hold the cheese. He's a natural.
Another of Seth's skills? Eating cheesy eggs!
Hailstorm!
Seth started thinking about crawling, which really became swimming instead. But mobility, here he comes!
