Thursday, April 25th, was family night at the girls' school - a chance for them to show us their rooms and the things they've been working on!
Eve's artwork! The turquoise flower at the top:
She grew grass!
Halle's artwork!
Her desk and some Texas projects :)
Her huge solar system project, on display in the hallway:
The 2nd grade was preparing for a play, so Eve showed us the stage and backdrops:
We're learning to love Sleepy Hollow (still miss North Ridge!)!
The next day was field day for both kindergarten and 2nd grade! Halle was first, first thing in the morning, and it was COLD!!!! The kids still had fun, but I didn't get as many pictures, because I was too busy trying to keep Abigail, Cora, and Seth from freezing! (And myself!)
Pro soccer player!
They had a bunch of different stations set up and Halle and her partner, Grayson, did as many as they could before time ran out!
She made a basket!
Go, Halle!
Seth was super cold and fussy in the stroller, so I ended up holding him wrapped in my jacket. That made him sleep!
Heading back inside after a great morning! And it was finally starting to warm up! Which was good because we had walked to the school and still needed to walk home.
We walked back to the school after lunch for Eve's field day! Same activities, plus a tug of war to start things off! Eve's group lost their first match-up, but won the second time!
Eve and her partner were super competitive (the kindergartners had mostly just played for fun) and ended up winning first place in almost every event.
Quite an arm!
The weather was beautiful in the afternoon, so Seth sat in the stroller and I could take a few more pictures.
Spoon race!
We didn't even need jackets or blankets! But we did lose Seth's pacifier :(
Cora had fun playing in the field while Eve did her events.
This hoola hoop competition lasted forever! Eve and this girl kept going, and going, and GOING. Eve finally bested her in the end.
Another first place in jump rope!
Overall, the girls both had fun and did great! We're fans of field day!
