So Grandma Larsen left on Saturday morning, November 25th, to fly home but luckily for us, Aunt Lisa arrived later that night to take charge! The timing worked out perfectly - she was moving from Washington, DC back to Provo and had already been planning on stopping and seeing us on her drive. Because of our situation with Abigail, she just ended up extending her stay a few days longer than originally planned. She was able to stay until December 5th!
We jammed a lot of fun into those days! And a lot of babysitting for Aunt Lisa while I ran Abigail to her various appointments.
I think most of the girls were asleep when she arrived on Saturday night, but not Abigail! And she immediately began trying to show off for Aunt Lisa, including jumping off the couch into the bean bag and even attempting a somersault. We intervened before she could get very far. Only one week post-surgery and we didn't think that was the best idea :)
Aunt Lisa attended the singles' ward on Sunday and then played lots and lots of Uno afterward.
On Wednesday, the 29th, we took Aunt Lisa to the Science Spectrum!
Shadows!
And bubbles!
Abigail insisted on trying the climbing wall....
The museum was getting all set up for Christmas! We'd return in a couple of days for that!
Since Aunt Lisa had left DC and started her drive to us on Thanksgiving, and ours was less-traditional, we did a redo on the 29th:
Lots of yummy food!
The girls loved having Aunt Lisa around - and so did I! She even took them on walks!
And made no-bake cookies!
On Saturday, December 2nd, we returned to the Science Spectrum to see Santa and do other Christmas activities!
Cora wouldn't go near him unless I was holding her....
And what's Christmas without a huge snake to pet?
And snowman cookies to decorate?!
Unfortunately, Andrew was busy studying for finals and wasn't able to join us :(
Squeezing in some Costco shopping!
Then the girls and I headed to the Texas Tech museum for more Christmas fun! Unfortunately, we caught the tail end and they'd already run out of lots of the crafts. But we got to do more cookies!
Also unfortunately, Aunt Lisa stayed home from this outing so I was on my own.
Decorating little Christmas boxes!
Cora did not last long, so it was a quick trip.
Don't leave us, Aunt Lisa!
Playing at Eve's school on Monday afternoon, our last full day before Aunt Lisa headed out to Utah the following morning. Her help was indispensable and we missed her!
