Happy Halloween!

The title of this post is a little misleading. I’m not going to post Halloween pictures, mainly because I didn’t take any. Really, it’s just because I’m posting it on Halloween that I have titled it thusly. Besides, only Andrew dressed up this year. He went to our church Halloween party last night as Dwight from The Office. And such a convincing Dwight he was! Even used some classic Dwight lines on the kiddies (“You are the future!”) which were lost on them, but some of the older folks enjoyed. My costume, you ask? I went as a fussy pregnant lady. Not much of a disguise, I admit, but at least it was easy to throw together! Evan (my 18 year old brother who lives with us) didn’t dress up either, so I had good company. Andrew had to muster enough Halloween spirit for the three of us. Luckily, he rose to the occasion.

As I become more accustomed to blogging, I’ll be better about remembering to take pictures so that I have photos to liven things up a bit (and don’t even ask – I will not be posting pictures of pregnant Sharon on here). This is precisely why I’m starting this blog several weeks before the baby comes – so that I have time to get used to blogging and to get everyone signed up for the blog who will be interested in following it once we have cute baby pictures to post! Until then, it will be….less entertaining….but it’s all about getting into the habit!

Speaking of the baby, I wish I could say we were making progress in terms of preparing for her arrival (Dec 8th due date). This is what we have so far:
Her “nursery”. Yes, that’s a crib (without a mattress) in our walk-in closet.

Her wardrobe. All the cute clothes we got from our baby shower in Utah (thanks again Kelly and all who came!) stacked neatly on the floor in our room. We’re still working on getting a dresser.

And yes, that’s all we’ve done! But hey, we still have plenty of time, right? Everyone just keep your fingers crossed that she doesn’t come early!
