Happy Easter!

With me being sick and tired (gotta love pregnancy!) Easter was low-key this year.  Don't mention it to the girls or they'll immediately tell you that we STILL haven't colored our Easter eggs!  

A couple days before Easter, we made some rice krispy treat nests - some for us and some for the women I visit teach.  A fun project! (Cora was napping.)

Easter weekend was also General Conference - so super busy!  And throw in a soccer game for Eve to round things out.  We started Saturday with a brunch and egg hunt at the Seegmiller's house with lots of other friends!

And Abigail found one of the two prize big eggs!  She spotted it way up in a tree and Daddy picked her up to retrieve it!

Followed by a conference nap - she was too cute!  I couldn't put her down!

That night, we put out our baskets for the Easter bunny!

And bright and early on Sunday morning, Eve and Halle were up and searching.  They'd already found Halle's, Abigail's, and Cora's by the time I got up, but had luckily left them where they were.

So happy for fun ways to celebrate Jesus' resurrection!  

Sugar coma!

Cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  Too bad I only made two pans....what about the rest of us???

Abigail was eating treats as fast as we'd let her and was very upset when the answer to, "Can I please have a jolly ring toss?" was 'no'.

Later, we found her licking all the frosting off the remaining cinnamon rolls.  When she got in trouble, she said through her tears, "But it was just so good!"

I attempted a fancy Easter dinner that totally backfired.  Hours of work for only mediocre results.  Included instant pot ham that exploded everywhere when I vented the steam (after letting it sit for like 30 minutes first!).  Huge mess and fussy mommy.  But we survived.  

We love our Savior and we love Easter!

March Stuff

Lots going on in March!  We officially threw away the old, worn braces of Eve's and Halle's!  

Unfortunately, Eve has now regressed to toe walking again..... :(  Not sure what, if anything, we're going to do about it yet.

Eve built this at babysitting group on Friday night and wanted to make sure we got a picture before we left:

We had a visit from Uncle Reid, Aunt Jana, Kate, Ben, and Jane!  They were in town for her Grandmother's 100th birthday and spent a few hours, including a very crowded dinner, at our house.  We had so much fun visiting with them and all the girls loved the attention!  Cora kept wanted Uncle Reid to hold her and read "Are Pirates Polite?" (her current favorite book).

We had a lot of illness in March, mostly repeated ear infections, so Cora wanted lots of snuggles.

The Science Spectrum had bunnies and chicks out for Easter!

Intermittent warm weather meant lots of outside play time!

As I get more and more tired, Abigail has become increasingly resourceful at getting her own snacks.  Unfortunately.

Also, her bed hair is unmatched!

She's getting very good at drawing!

Thanks to Aunt Kelly for telling us about free ice cream cones at DQ to mark the first day of spring!  Of course, Cora had a major poo blow out while we were waiting in the drive-thru, enough that it filled her car seat and was dripping out of her diaper as we walked back into the house with our cones.  

Poor girl!  Antibiotics haven't seemed to help clear up her infections so we're going to see an ENT in June to see what he recommends.

The girls took the car outside for a spin - way more fun than driving it in the house!

Andrew and I attended the annual law school journal banquet/awards dinner.  Much nicer venue/catering this year than last!  I think it's called the Texas Tech Club?  Something like that - up at the top of the stadium!  As editor-in-chief of one of the journals, Andrew got to do lots of award presenting and speaking.

Abigail's next MRI was scheduled for March 21st, but as a lingering result of an ear infection, she had a bad cough, especially when laying flat at night.  So the MRI had to be rescheduled (don't get me started on what a hassle that was!) and our pediatrician gave Abigail these steam treatments to use to clear up the cough.  She likes doing them because I let her play on my phone during the 10 minutes it takes to complete one treatment.  She did it for a few days in March and it cleared up her cough and now we're doing it again this week because she has another little cough and her MRI was FINALLY rescheduled to this Friday, April 27th.  

We got our first (and only!) rain storm in the past 6 months during March!  It was a downpour!

Eve and Cora ventured out!

One warm day, Halle went to play outside and we found her asleep on the tramp awhile later.  :)

Cora will take snuggles anyway she can get them when she doesn't feel good.  Here's to a healthier April!
