Cora is 7 Months Old!

The cutest 7 month old baby in the world!!!!

Cora at 7 months:

-LOVES all food, except baby food
-Still eating once a night
-No teeth
-Sit independently for as long as she wants, but won't roll or attempt to crawl
-Gives cute kisses!
-Waves with her hands
-Likes to chew on her toes
-Sucks on blankets to fall asleep instead of pacifiers or her thumb - and it's so cute!

She sits in this weird position unless we correct it- the leg that is twisted in the one that she broke.  We're worried about it but checking with physical therapy to see if she needs some work to help.

The girls had chocolate chip pancakes one night for dinner and without thinking, I gave one to Cora.  Um.  She went crazy.  Shocking!

Food!  Big girl food!  That she gets to feed herself!  Yay!

She is the world's happiest, most adorabliest baby ever and we sure do love her!

Welcoming 2017!

We got home from our trip on New Years Eve and despite the exhaustion, I had plans to do some fun celebratory things with the girls.  Then I went to Walmart and this was literally all they had by way of New Years paraphernalia.  So we went with it.  Low key, but hey, that's how we roll.

The girls got to wear their hats and necklaces and blow their horns then it was bedtime.  I think we were all in bed by 9.  Don't judge, we were tired!  And anxious to sleep in our own beds!  With Cora not in our room :)

New Years Eve!

Let's do this, 2017!

Extended Smith Family Pictures 2016

On Christmas Eve, Kayla took family pictures for us!

All the kids love Uncle Lance!

And no one had to be photo-shopped in this year!  That's a success!

These girls :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas in Utah: Post-Christmas

Christmas may have been over, but our vacation fun was definitely not!

Eve was busting at the seams to get outside on Monday morning, but I made her wait until at least mid-morning so it could warm up a bit.

Halle wasn't interested, but Abigail wanted to go too!

We don't have snow clothes, but layers, layers, and more layers suffice for the short-term!

Later that day, I met up with my former roommate Marinda for lunch!  She brought her adorable son with her and dropped that bomb that they're expecting again!  So exciting!

The 26th was a jam-packed day.  That evening, we drove back up to Layton and had dinner with Kelly and Lance and our friends the Calls!

Last Christmas, this picture was of the three of us pregnant!  Katie and Kelly had their babies one day apart in the same hospital!  Joey and Maddie are two months old than Cora, but she's big enough that you can't tell.

Our next fun adventure was Lowe's Extreme Air Sports in Provo with Aunt Kayla, Lexi, Dallin, and Maren!  This will have to be a new tradition for every visit to Provo - the girls LOVED it!

Eve was old enough to go in the big kids section and she did this swing into foam thing several times!

Halle spent the first hour or so sitting at the top of these slides, too scared to go down.  We tried and tried to coax her and finally after Grandma Smith came (when she finished her dentist appointment) Halle was willing to give it a try!  After that, she wouldn't stop :)

Uncle Andrew and Dallin:

These girls bounced themselves out!

Random play at Grandma's house:

We made our annual pilgrimage to the BYU Bookstore (I'll never consent to call it the BYU Store - that's too weird).

And planned on going bowling downstairs after, but it was too busy so this was as close as we got.

Instead, we opted for the Bean Museum!

The girls would not take a nice picture.

Baby cousin play time!

That week, I took Eve and Halle for haircuts - nothing drastic, just trims and they did great!  Second haircut for each of them.

They both started out in the chairs, but their hair was so long,

they had to resort to standing.

Abigail made lots of puzzles at Grandma's house!

We even got to play at Maren's house for a little while - and the girls did NOT want to leave.  I had to drag them out when it was time to go.

Baby Zoey snuggles!

Teaching each other the piano :)

Grandma snuggles!

More Aunt Lisa selfies!

Only one more day in Provo!

Let these babies get to know each other!

And one last visit to Great Grandma Jane at her new assisted living facility!

Halle and Abigail wouldn't be pictured, but Eve wouldn't stop hugging Grandma - it was pretty cute.

And just like that, the trip was done and it was time to head home.  Again due to weather, we drove home through Albuquerque over a two day stretch.  Pretty uneventful drive home, which we were glad for!

Big bears at gas stations!

We had a great trip and were very happy to get home!  Great way to finish out the year!
