Labor Day?

More like Play Day!

 

Jeremy, Candace, Nathan, and Hannah came to visit for Labor Day Weekend and we made sure we did a lot of...hanging around our house...while they were here :) 

 

And I have to say up front that I took hardly any pictures - so thanks to Candace for letting me share hers!  I'm shamelessly plagiarizing them here....

 

Eve taught Hannah about our stairs - there were surprisingly fewer falls than I expected!

 

 

The girls made sure to have time for music!!

 

 

On Saturday, Nathan and Eve got creative with some play dough!

After church on Sunday, we had a pretty low-key afternoon.  Low key enough that the men had time to:

 

 

After a lazy Monday morning, we finally decided we had to get out of the house at least ONCE while our guests were in town.  So Candace introduced us to the wonders of the splash park!  How did I not know about these all summer?!?

 

Eve had so much fun playing in the water!  See for yourself:

With a little encouragement, Eve decided she was brave enough to go through the water rings!

 

 

Triumph!  She even went back through a second time!

 

 

It's fun to sit and splash too!

 

 

Little Hannah is apparently quite the water bug!

 

 

It was somewhere around this point that Eve decided she was done - yes, that's her leaving...

 

 

But wait!  We have to dry off before getting back in the car!  Silly Dilly!

 

 

Which means another great photo op!  :)

Ok, not really that long.  And not when you have Dad to hold your hand!

 

 

That afternoon before the Baldwins had to head home, we had a bbq (if grilling hamburgers and hot dogs on a George Foreman grill can be called a bbq). 

 

 

And one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend?  Candace took the time to do a photo shoot of  Eve and, being the awesome photographer that she is, got some GREAT pictures of Eve!  (See the next post).

 

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend with our friends in town and can't wait until we get to see them again!
