Here's how we spent the rest of the month - we had another week with Grandma Smith, which allowed us to leave the house some while she watched Cora. Once she left, we were pretty much home bound.
The girls finished the library reading program, got to put their names on the wall, and each got a cool prize pack!
Halle told me one morning that her shirt says, "Sweetness very much Halle. Tomorrow your birthday."
Abigail got to go with me to my 6 week postpartum visit (thank goodness Grandma Smith was still here to watch Cora and the other girls!).
And Cora turned six weeks old!
Such a happy girl even with her broken leg! It was right around this time that she started smiling for real, cooing, and even got a little giggle out of her!
Eve and Halle came to the mall with Grandma and I and got a turn on this run ride!

This is how we burped Cora for the first two weeks without holding her. Keeping her body straight, we'd flip her up until this pile of towels and pat her back until she burped. She seemed to like the change of position after lots of time spent on her back :)
One week after the break, I got to take her back for another set of x-rays. They checked her leg again (still in two pieces) and also did more x-rays of her left arm. In the hospital, they didn't get a clear shot and couldn't tell if she had a small fracture in her arm. Turns out, not. Whew!
I had to stuff a blanket into the car seat under her to get her in it without hurting her leg.
Her first outing wore her out!
Eve made this note and taped life saver mints to it for each of us, then hid it. We found it in Cora's car seat! Silly girl!
And so passed the rest of July....
