And with that, our almost three week trip was coming to an end. On Friday, December 28th we left Provo and drove back to Broomfield. We stayed over night (somehow still finding time to play more with grandma!) before heading on to Texas on Saturday.
Goodbye to Max! Given his age and the frequency of our visits, this may be the last time we see him :(
Then it was time for a VERY long day in the car. We had planned on just driving to Amarillo (to preserve our sanity) but got there around dinner time and decided to just keep going.
So drive, and drive, and drive we did! We finally made it home around midnight from what I remember. We were so tired! And wishing we'd stopped in Amarillo...but at least we were home safe and sound.
Despite sleepless nights, lots of illness, and tons of driving, we had the BEST vacation and so much fun with family! When you live so far away, it's always a treat to go home! Thanks to all for taking us in and taking such good care of us! We loved every (almost) minute :)
