The 2015 Larsen Family Reunion was scheduled for the beginning of July in Utah, and since Andrew couldn't miss school and even had finals that week, the girls and I had to brave it without him. So Jamie and her kids and me with my kids my the long road trip from Lubbock to Utah!
We planned to be gone for 2 weeks and were really going to miss Daddy!
We set off on Monday, June 29th and drove that day to Farmington, NM. It's normally a 14 - 15 hour drive, which is doable in one day with two parents in the car, but not with one! So we broke the drive into two shorter days.
Getting some wiggles out at McDonalds when we stopped for lunch and potty breaks:
You can imagine how crazy it was in our car, but there were some quiet times when the girls slept or at least were relatively calm:
When we got to our hotel that night, we unloaded, then grabbed some dinner and found a park! We had five little kids with WAY too much energy to go to bed!
There were lots of bugs and it was super hot, but the kids had fun :) And the moms were ready to crash....
The next morning we loaded up for the last leg of the drive!
I've always wanted to stop at one of these signs and finally did! We only passed through the bottom corner of Colorado, but that's ok :)
We arrived safe and sound at the reunion shortly before 5pm that afternoon, a little worse for the wear, but excited to be there!
