Wonderland!

Wonderland is the amusement park here in Amarillo and before school got out, we bought discounted tickets through the school for our whole family to attend! We finally got around to using the tickets on July 23rd. Let the fun begin!

Seth was so excited, he couldn't contain himself. 

I'm not a huge fan of rides, so I mostly took the three younger kids while Andrew took Eve and Halle on the big rides. And Abigail when she was tall enough. 

Cora loved the kid rides!

Everyone loves a good carousel ride! 

There were a few rides that they all enjoyed together!

The kids bumper cars did not go well. Mostly they just sat there, stuck against other cars. 

This is my kind of ride - Andrew watched Seth while I took the girls on the ferris wheel. 

Eve wanted to go by herself. 

Andrew had taken Eve and Halle on the rainbow ride and Abigail opted out, but after watching them, she changed her mind so he took her with him later. Good thing he has an iron stomach!

The log ride - again, Eve wanted to ride alone? 

The rest of us are ready to get wet! (Not really, luckily it wasn't bad.)

Abigail did not want to get wet, so she stayed with Andrew and Seth. 

Seth enjoyed all the views from the stroller. 

Apparently Abigail doesn't enjoy having a silly, huge head!

Another of Mommy's favorites - the sky ride! Eve and Halle went together and Abigail, Cora, and I followed.

It was getting late, but we were still going strong! We made it all the way past 10pm when they closed. 

I don't think anyone was a fan of the pirate ship ride. Lots of sad faces coming off that one.

Before closing, Abigail and I hurried over to a mid-sized roller coaster that she was tall enough to ride. Unfortunately, after sitting there for a few minutes, they determined something was wrong with the ride and we all had to get out. We never got a chance to ride it. Maybe this year! 

So instead we made a big mistake and decided the two of us would try one of the water slides on our way to meet Dad and the others at the front gates. It was not awesome. We sat in a big tube and went through a dark tunnel - it was very wet, very dark, and very fast. I think we both screamed the whole way (terror screams, not fun screams). We were drenched by the end and Abigail was not a happy camper. But she still talks about it today, so....worth it? 

We grabbed some cotton candy and snapped a quick picture on our way out. 

It was very late, everyone was very tired, and there were lots of tears on the way home. 

So we saved the cotton candy for the next day when we could actually enjoy it! 

The girls have been asking since then when we get to go back!
