Labor Day Weekend

Luckily, we had only a few days without help before it was Labor Day weekend and time for a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Larsen! (Really, it was only three days and we basically survived.)

We passed the time waiting for the grandparent's visit by cooking, 

snacking, 

playing,

and napping. 

Boyd was so content with Abigail holding him! I think they sat like that for about an hour. (Virtual school was a little slow starting up - the first few days were light.)

Finally Grandpa and Grandma arrived on Friday, September 4th! Boyd was very excited. 

Grandma immediately made him practice his tummy time. 

And then let him play outside. 

The kids had gotten a little too used to playing outside with Grandma Smith every day, so they were super excited to have more grandparents willing to watch them in the front yard. 

During their quick weekend visit, we made sure to play lots of games:

Get some projects done around the house (moving the dishwasher drain pipe to the correct side of the sink):

We even went to church for the first time with Boyd! 

We're so very blessed to have TWO sets of amazing grandparents! 

Seth was glad that Grandpa was willing to read him lots of books. I'm glad in principal that Seth loves books so much, but sometimes get a little tired of reading constantly. Don't judge.

Cora "decorated" the hallway for Grandpa and Grandma. I was thrilled. 

Grandpa showed us how to make spudnuts! They were SO good! 

We all ate more than we should have. 

And there were still some left over!

It can be exhausting having so much fun!

"Boy, is this lady nice!" 

"She saw me! I hope she stays forever...."

But alas, all good things much come to an end. Apparently. The kids tried to stow away in the back of Grandpa and Grandma's car, but they were discovered. Maybe next time???

"Oh great. Back to just this lady." 

 We could hardly wait for two months to pass so it would be time for Halle's baptism and more visits from family!
