Even though we had only a short evening at my parents house, instead of a full day like we'd been planning, we made time for at least one thing! Nuts!
Andrew's mom had showed me how to make candied almonds while we were in Provo and they were so good! I wanted to make them with my mom too!
Let's just say our first batch wasn't so successful...it kind of burned. But we persevered and ended up with a yummy second batch!
Eve and Chiara passed the time with the blocks. Stuart and Genevieve were also back at my parents house that evening, on their way back to Utah from South Carolina. Good timing! We got to see them again!
We were planning on heading out the following morning to make the long drive back to Texas, but things don't always work out like you think they will....
