We decided to start our Valentine's celebration a bit early this year - by making sugar cookies!
Everyone got to help! Good thing we had heart shaped cookie cutters to make the cookies festive :)
Halle had to go to bed before we were done, but Eve stuck it out until the bitter end - or sweet end in this case....

On Valentine's morning, I had to go to work, but not before some cinnamon rolls and a few surprises for the family!

Eve wasn't awake before I left, but Andrew remembered to get a picture of her and her special note and treat!
Unfortunately, I was stuck at work late and didn't get home until 8pm, so we didn't get to celebrate much that evening. Just a couple episodes of Perry Mason after putting the girls in bed. So we went to lunch at our favorite burger place today instead - totally worth the wait!
And then some play time at the park after lunch - both the girls had fun, but Halle particularly loved the swings and slide. She was so happy to be outside!
We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather - and we needed it after the cold spell we've been stuck under for weeks! Finally a little sun and warmth! Hopefully here to stay....
We're happy to have this special day to celebrate our love for each other and our family and friends. Happy Valentine's Day to all!
