Thursday, March 12th, was when we received the official word that the Church was stopping all meetings/gatherings of any kind due to this COVID 19 thing we'd been hearing more and more about. I remember because we had a Relief Society activity scheduled for that evening and got the news only a couple of hours before. So that activity never happened.
Sunday, March 15th, was our first of many weeks worshiping and taking the sacrament at home as a family. I can't lie, we came to love it VERY quickly. So much easier than hauling 5 kids to 9am church, but it wasn't just that. They all became so involved in our little meetings, with Halle taking the lead on planning out a program each week - choosing songs, prayers, talks, etc.
The next few months would be challenging having the whole family home ALL the time, but enjoying a little sacrament meeting together each Sunday definitely became a highlight.
