A New Room

In mid-April, for reasons I can't now remember, Andrew convinced Eve and Halle that they should switch rooms with the guest room. Their room had been the purple room by the kitchen since we'd moved in and the guest room was by Cora and Abigail's but now they were totally on board for a change.

April 18th was a long day.

Pictures of their old room:

The worst part was moving all the books and two huge bookcases. And since Daddy was going to paint the purple room, we couldn't put anything in their. So into our master bedroom came all the books in the meantime.

And the bookcases. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad this project is over.

Cleaning out under their beds and getting ready to disassemble. The second worst part. The bunk beds wouldn't fit around the corner into the hallway of their new room so they had to be completely taken apart. It took forever.

Oh, and the food storage. Don't get me started on moving the food storage. Why did we do this?

Seth was a huge help.

Finally got the bed set up in the new room. The girls had hoped to have them unstacked, but the beds wouldn't fit with their dressers, table, and bookcase unless we stacked the.

And our room got to look like this.

At least it gave us an excuse to go through all their stuff and toss tons of things. Which was also a big time consumer. We were all running out of steam by this point.

Old room all cleaned out!

And new room all set up! (Some of the food storage was still in one closet until Andrew could paint the new guest room and get it moved over.)

The nice clean room didn't last long...

But the now guest room looks really good gray instead of purple!

No more projects, please! (Yeah, right.)
