Here's the variety of everything else we did in April.
Studying the Book of Mormon with Come Follow Me is very relaxing.
Seth discovered the scooter but hadn't mastered how to ride it, so just walked it around the house, one foot on either side.
Andrew tackled the garage (more projects!). It does look really good now and we can fit both cars! We still want to refinish the floor, but everything else is done.
"Helping" Daddy.
He painted the whole thing. And scrapped the ceilings.
I attempted a hand/foot hopscotch game for the girls to help fight boredom. They didn't care for it as much as I'd hoped.
We got to watch a very different than usual General Conference - no people in attendance, just the speakers talking from a small room in the Conference Center.
And the plants were a little strange this time around.
The joys of long hair.
PJ buddies!
Everyone wanted in on one!
The tramp saw a LOT of use.
And the hose leaks when the sprinkler's on, which was more interesting to Seth.
A friend from the ward found us gold at Sam's Club!
My next attempt at entertaining the kids went a little better.
Turned out pretty cool!
And yes, virtual school was going on during all of this, but didn't take up too much of our days. Just lots of Mommy's mental energy.
Another of Andrew's projects - bush trimming!
He even let Eve take a whack at it. Literally.
Seth tested the endurance of his crib. (I'm just glad he hasn't ever figured out how to climb out.)
We played lots of games!
Seth continued his helpfulness in the kitchen. As he gets taller, it becomes more and more of a problem.
I really need to never lay him down for a nap in just a diaper. Or I might come in after to find poo everywhere!
We had great weather so lots of time spent outside!
Andrew set up his 'office' in the guest room. I think he's really missing his real office, especially now as I write this, 4 1/2 months into working from home.
It got warm enough that we started investing in ice cream sandwiches for post-sprinkler treats.
We played lots of Apples to Apples and the girls always wanted pictures of their adjectives.
Eve was not happy about being 'little'.
'Glittering' and 'gorgeous', though? Halle will take it.
Andrew was doing all the grocery shopping now which would sometimes result in some strange purchases, but this takes the cake as the weirdest thing he brought home - sparkling hard seltzer. I mean, it had been a rough month at home with the kids full time, but really? :) (Don't worry, apparently the person in line before him and forgotten the bad and it got mixed in with Andrew's stuff. An innocent mistake....?)
Also when Daddy shops, sometime Seth ends up with a new shark chair.
More bike riding practice! As our only child who can ride for long distances alone, she'd beg me to take her on rides. I couldn't keep up with her (almost 6 months pregnant), so I'd follow her around the neighborhood in the car. It worked for us.
Seth trying to motivate me to pick back up the front yard project I'd started the previous September. It didn't work. Not until Grandma Larsen came in June and forced my hand.
Did I mention Andrew did a lot of projects during this time? Here's the trundle bed he made for Cora.
Experimenting with Eve's hair.
She was pleased!
Building forts during our Come Follow Me study - just like the tents King Benjamin's people had!
I started making seeded paper hearts for the sisters in our ward for Mother's Day.
Occasionally we'd go pick up school lunch for the girls (available by drive-up any weekday for any student) and they'd have a picnic outside.
Oh my word. I forgot how freaking many projects Andrew did. He was on a roll! He started the process of trimming our three huge oak trees out front. They desperately needed it, but the only quote we'd gotten so for was $2,000. Not happening. So he got to work on the branches he could reach.
Which left our front yard in shambles. I decided I wanted to do something with some of the bigger pieces (I'm thinking bar stools!) so Andrew helped me strip them down and put them on the side of the house for now. Then I paid the girls $0.1 per branch/twig to clean up the rest. Eve and Halle each earned $10 before the yard was clear.
Seth really loves Abigail's bike and begs for rides with his cute puppy eyes and "eh" sounds.
Cora and Balance are fast friends!
