Ear Tubes for Seth

After his ear drums ruptured in December, and having a history of repeated and difficult to get rid of ear infections, Seth became our first child to get ear tubes! He and I got to go in Thursday, January 9th to have them placed. A quick little surgery and he did great! It was an early morning....which was good since he couldn't eat anything until after.

Cutest little patient ever!!!

Waiting in the kids' area with Mommy.

Trying to stay entertained without a bottle!

"Give me the purse, Mommy. I know you have milk in there!"

Once they came and got him, the procedure was quick and went well! Before I knew it, he was back with me, groggy and a little grumpy. Nothing a bottle couldn't fix!

And the good news is that since getting his tubes in, he's been infection free! Once in February, I think, he had a bunch of drainage, that would have led to an infection and antibiotics if it wasn't able to get out. But out it came and a couple of days of ear drops and he was good. He just went in this past week (end of July) and the tubes are still in place and looking good!

2020 surgery #1 done!
