Cora’s 4th Birthday!

Cora and Abigail's birthdays are exactly three weeks apart, which meant Cora's big day also fell on chemo - the first week of round 7.

She wanted cinnamon rolls for breakfast, so we went with store bought this time. She didn't seem to mind.

This face! This girl is so amazing.

She wanted to wear a dress for the occasion and chose this one.

Chocolate chip pancakes for dinner this time!

Cora does not like the popping of balloons so just wanted her presents set out for her (much easier on me!). She was pretty excited!

Cora wanted the exact same cake as Abigail, but I managed to talk her into a few differences.

So happy Grandma could be there!

This girl sure is loved :)

White cake died pink and blue with pink and blue frosting and red (didn't have pink) and blue M&M's.

So excited to be 4!

Cora got lots of cool presents, but one of her favorites was a dozen dino eggs that she had to soak in water then chisel the sparkly dinos free from!

She had a little help.

Not only does Cora know what order the dinos were 'hatched' in, she knows what kinds they all are and has named each one. She loves to cart them around with her.

Happy birthday sweet girl!

A couple of things about Cora. She still loves play baths and takes a dozen or so of her small toys with her each time. She is learning her letters finally (hasn't been interested before) and can spell and write her own name. She also likes to do basic math problems and will frequently ask, "Mom, what's 3+2?" (or something similar) and then tell me the answer. She still loves her purple water bottle and drinks tons of water, but just recently we broke her of taking it to bed with her and she earned her very own Polly Pocket set for doing it! During this time of isolation at home, she's the only one of the girls to get up and get dressed in clean clothes every morning. Eve and Halle tend to wear the same outfit for days on end, until I force them to change, and Abigail goes through 4-5 different dresses per day. Cora's found the sweet spot! One pair of clean clothes per day and Mommy's very grateful!
